（Prologue）

You live a peaceful life in a country to the north.

On the anniversary of your parents' death, you find a mysterious box containing one final gift from your parents, but as soon as you get it, it's stolen from you.

Now, you must rely on the help of a dashing spy to help you get your lost treasure back.

Prologue：

It was a warm afternoon, with the sun shining through the trees.
Several years earlier, my parents had passed away, leaving me alone.
It was a lot for a young noblewoman to bear alone, and I sighed as I inspected the region I oversaw.

（And today's the anniversary of their death.）

With my inspection over, I was on my way to visit their grave.
I was passing the church when the minister, Robert, stepped outside, and he waved as he saw me.
Jily：Good afternoon, Robert.
Robert：Good afternoon.
Robert：Today is the anniversary of your parents' death, isn't it?
Robert smiled kindly as he glanced down at the somber black dress I was wearing.
Robert was a good friend, and always happy to offer advice,
so I stopped to talk with him for a short while.
As we were chatting, the local judge Giles dropped by, along with Alyn, the captain of our local guard.
Giles：Alyn has informed me that some suspicious characters have been spotted in the area recently.
Giles：I thought we should let you know, Robert.
Both Giles and Alyn had been concerned about me ever since my parents had passed away,
and if I ran into them in the evenings, they always made sure to walk me safely home.
Alyn：You should be careful as well, Jily.
Jily：I will. Thanks.
I smiled and waved to the three of them as I headed on my way again.

（Hang on a minute, is that—?）

The bar that Sid owned was on my way to the graveyard,
and I stopped out front as I saw two familiar faces sitting outside.
Jily：Sid, Byron—good afternoon.
I smiled at them both, and Sid raised his hand in a lazy greeting.
Sid was the bartender as well as the owner, and Byron was a diplomat from another country.
They could often be found at the bar talking,
and they were always happy to let me join their conversations.
Sid：Heya. Today's the day, huh?
Byron：Make sure you head back before it gets dark.
Jily：I will, thank you. I'll see you both later.
I smiled politely and then waved as I continued on my way to the graveyard.

By the time I'd finished visiting my parents' graves and returned home it was completely dark.
As soon as I reached my room I noticed something sitting on the balcony outside.

（What on earth is that?）

It was a small, locked box, made of iron,
and when I picked it up I found an envelope underneath it.
The envelope contained a key on a chain,
and a letter that claimed to be from my parents.
Jily：『This box contains something very important.』
Jily：『Be careful how you use it.』
Jily：What on earth...

（What is this doing here?）
（Did one of their friends drop it off for them?）

I was just about to open the box when I heard a knock at the front door.
I quickly put the key on its chain around my neck, and set the box on the table.
But when I reached the front door and opened it, there was no one there.

（I didn't think anyone would be coming by this late,）
（anyway... maybe I was just hearing things.）

But when I returned to my room, I stared in surprise at what I found there.

（The box is gone! I put it right there!）

I hurried over to the table,
where I found a single piece of card lying where the box had been.
Jily：『Stay out of this』?
Jily：What's that supposed to mean?
