Louis, Chapter 1, Part 1/5:

I closed my eyes for a moment, picturing the starry sky overhead.

(If my wish could come true—
(I would want to be together with Louis, for always.)

At that moment, the star in the sky sparkled, its light somehow mischievous.

***

It was early afternoon, and the birds could be heard chirping in the trees outside.
Louis's position as prince consort had been officially recognized,
and we were discussing plans for our first extended vacation.
Louis:Jily, what would you like to do?
Jily:Hmm, I don't know.
I sat there trying to come up with some good ideas as Nico poured tea for us both.
Nico:Are you deciding your plans for your vacation?
Jily:Yes.
Nico placed a teacup in front of me, and I gazed down at the steam rising up from it.
Jily:It's our first long vacation, so I feel like we should do something special, but...
Nico's face brightened at my words, as if he'd suddenly thought of something.
Nico:Louis, Jily, I think I just had a great idea.
Jily:Yes?
I looked up to find Nico looking down at me with wide eyes.
Nico:Why don't you try living together?

(Living together?)

My eyes widened at Nico's words, and I turned to look at Louis.

Louis, Chapter 1, Part 2/5:

Nico:Why don't you try living together?
I blinked up at Nico for a moment, and then glanced at Louis.
Our eyes met and we stared at each other.
Louis's eyes were wide, his expression open confusion.

(Phew, you have no idea what he means either.)

I looked up at Nico again, and spoke hesitantly.
Jily:What exactly do you mean?
Nico:Well, you know, couples down in the town try living together before they get married, right?
Nico:And Louis's your prince consort now. I bet Giles would think it was a great idea, too.

(Well, I'd definitely be happy getting to spend all that time with Louis.
(But can we really do something like that?)

I frowned a little as I thought about it, reaching out for my teacup.
As my fingers touched the handle—
Louis:It might be nice.
Jily:Really?
Louis:I do want to be with you forever.
Louis gave me a faint, sweet smile as he spoke.
Jily:Louis—
I smiled brightly at him, my cup of tea completely forgotten.

(It makes me so happy knowing that you feel that way.)

Nico looked down at the two of us and smiled cheerfully as well.
Nico:Then it's decided.
And so, just like that, we decided to live together just like a regular couple.

Louis, Chapter 1, Part 3/5:

It was the evening before the start of our vacation, and I'd finally finished all my work.
Nico had been right, and Giles had given our idea the okay.
Giles:Please take care on your trip.
Jily:We will. Thank you so much.
Louis had come to greet me, and he bowed to Giles before turning to me.
Louis:Let's go, Jily.
Jily:Okay!
I curtseyed quickly to Giles, and then hurried after Louis, my heart singing.

(I never imagined I'd get to spend so much time with Louis like this.
(It's like a dream come true.)

Suddenly I remembered the night when I'd wished on the star.

(Well, I did make a wish to always be with Louis, didn't I?
(But there's no way this is because of that, surely?)

At that moment, Giles called out after us, stopping us.
Giles:I forgot to say one thing.
We both stopped walking and turned back to look at him.
Giles:Although unlikely, it is possible something may happen to you.
Giles:So I intend to keep track of information regarding what exactly you are up to.
Jily:Keep track of?
I frowned dubiously at Giles, and he smile reassuringly.
Giles:Yes. But you needn't worry, I don't intend to force you to have guards or anything.
His words worried me, but I nodded all the same and turned away.
Louis escorted me outside and we climbed aboard his carriage.

Louis, Chapter 1, Part 4/5:

Jily:Ahh, this really takes me back.
I looked around the room as we stepped through the door.
It was the same place I'd lived back before I'd been chosen to be the princess.

(Nothing's changed at all.)

Giles had suggested that we live together down in town, since it would be easier to do so in a place we were familiar with.
I glanced over at Louis, who was also looking around the room.
There was a faint smile on his face, and a gleam in his eyes.

(Louis, you look unusually happy.)

I giggled to myself and set down my luggage before heading for the kitchen.
Jily:Do you want some tea?
I reached out towards the tea kettle, intending to fill it with water.
But before I could Louis wrapped his arms around me from behind.
Jily:Louis!
I jumped in surprise as Louis rested his head gently on my shoulder.
I glanced up at him, and our eyes met for a moment.
His soft hair tickled my cheek, and I smiled to myself.
I leaned my head against his head, and spoke in a soft murmur.
Jily:What's the matter?
After a moment Louis lifted his head, and turned me around in his arms to face him.
Louis:Well, we're finally alone together.
A sudden smile graced his features as he gazed down at me.
Jily:Louis—

Louis, Chapter 1, Part 5/5:

Jily:Louis—
Louis wrapped me in his arms and lifted me into the air, a smile on his face.
Louis:We're finally alone together, and I want to take advantage of that.
Louis:Are you okay with that?
Louis stared into my eyes, his expression sweetly hopeful.
Jily:Well—
He was so beautiful in that moment, and I was lost for words as I gazed down at him.

(You have no idea, do you?
(When you look at me with those eyes, I'll do anything.)

Jily:I'm okay with that.

***

Louis carried me to the bedroom and set me down gently on the bed.
I looked up at him and he smiled faintly down at me, his eyes still sparkling.
He leaned over me, reaching out towards the ribbon ties on my dress.
Jily:Ahh, wait—
I reached out and caught his fingers, stopping him.
Louis:What's wrong?

(It's so weird to be doing this here. I'm not sure I'm quite ready for it yet!)

My heart was pounding loudly in my chest, and I tried to find an excuse to hide it.
Jily:It's just—this dress can be really hard to undo if you don't know what you're doing.
I looked up at Louis, wondering if he was buying my excuse.
Louis:Okay then. I'll wait.

(I can't even tell if you're teasing me or not, sometimes it's impossible to know with you!)

I could feel him watching me as I reached down and began to undo the ribbon ties laced across my breasts.
I peeked up at him again and realized that his smile was fading into a frown.
His lips quirked to the side as he stared down at me.

Louis, Chapter 2, Part 1/5:

Louis frowned a little as he murmured softly.
Louis:Nope, no good.
Jily:What's no good?
Louis reached out and caught hold of my hands, lowering his lips to whisper in my ear.
Louis:I don't want to wait after all.

***

I lay quietly, stroking Louis's hair as he lay sleeping against my breasts.

(I'm not sure it's okay to be this happy.)

Louis's skin was warm against mine, and my hand stilled at the thought.
Louis lifted his head slowly, as if noticing that I'd stopped.
Louis:Jily?
I smiled down at him, entranced by his beauty.
Jily:I was just thinking how happy I am to be with you.
Louis's expression brightened into a smile at my words.
Louis:I feel the same way.
Louis sat up slowly, until we were facing each other.
Louis:One day, will you be with me like this, forever?
Jily:Of course.
Louis smiled happily as we gazed at each other.
A moment later I heard a soft rapping at the door.

(What on earth?)

I hurriedly put a gown on and moved towards the door.
To my surprise I found a messenger there, who handed me a letter for Louis and tipped his hat before rushing away.
Jily:Louis, there's a letter for you.
Louis:What?
I turned the letter over in my hands a few times as I walked back to where Louis sat on the bed.
I handed him the letter and he began to read it.
I watched in concern as his expression seemed to crumple.

Louis, Chapter 2, Part 2/5:

The next morning—
Louis:I'm sorry, Jily.
The letter the previous evening had been to inform Louis that some urgent work had come up which required his attention.
Jily:No, it's okay. Good luck with your work.
Louis looked so regretful, and I smiled brightly in an effort to cheer him up.
Louis:I will.
I walked him to the door to see him off, but he stopped in the doorway and turned back.
He stared at me in silence for a long moment.
Jily:What's wrong?
I blinked up at him, and he stared down at me curiously.
Louis:What about my goodbye kiss?
Jily:What?
Louis:I heard that the couples in town always do that.
I giggled suddenly, and leaned over to kiss him gently on the cheek.
Jily:Goodbye.
Louis's eyes widened briefly, and then narrowed again.
Louis:Not there.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed a kiss against my lips.
His kiss was warm and passionate, and I closed my eyes for a moment.
Then Louis let go again and stepped back, grinning down at me.
Louis:See you later.

(Ahh, Louis, you big tease.)

I shut the door behind him, and sighed as I stared at it.

(That said—)

The room was suddenly far too quiet, and I sat down in the nearest chair.
I stared at the window and realized that rain was starting to fall outside.

(What am I going to do by myself all day?)

My chest ached with a sudden pang of loneliness.

(I know it's work and it can't be helped, but I was so looking forward to our vacation together.)

I closed my eyes, trying to will away the loneliness building up inside me.

***

I'd been sitting like that for a while when I heard a sharp voice whisper in my ear.
???:Hey.

Louis, Chapter 2, Part 3/5:

A sharp voice whispered in my ear, and I frowned, struggling out of sleep.
Jily:Nnnn—
I slowly lifted my head and opened my eyes.
Jily:Sid—!!
Sid was leaning over me, his face far too close to mine.
Sid:If you sleep there you're gonna catch a cold.
Jily:What are you doing here?!
I sat up sharply, pulling away from him, and he moved back, sitting down in the chair opposite.
Sid:Huh? The door was wide open. Besides, Giles must've told ya.
Sid:Information on you sells for a lot to the palace.
Jily:Hang on a minute—
I suddenly remembered what Giles had said to us right before we left.

(When he said he was going to keep track of us—was he talking about Sid?)

Suddenly I understood, and Sid smirked as he looked at me.
Sid:I'm not here to get in your way, but—
Sid muttered the words, and then wiped in frustration at the raindrops running down his face.
I looked him over properly for the first time.
His clothes and hair were absolutely saturated from the pouring rain.
He glanced up and met my gaze, and then grinned at me, leaning forward.
Sid:Let me use your bath for a bit.

Louis, Chapter 2, Part 4/5:

Sid:Let me use your bath for a bit.
Jily:What?!
My eyes widened with shock at Sid's sudden request.
Sid:Look, I don't really wanna be borrowing the place where you guys get all lovey-dovey.
Sid:But I got no choice right now.
Sid sighed with frustration, his eyes narrow.

(Well, I guess you're right—I would hate for you to catch a cold because you were told to watch over us.
(I guess the quicker I let you, the quicker I get rid of you.)

I sighed to myself and then nodded quickly.
Jily:All right.

***

I let Sid use the bathroom, and I lay out his clothes to dry while he was in there.
I'd just finished putting his folded clothes near the bathroom door when the front door opened.
Jily:Welcome home!
I rushed to the front door, full of happiness, and Louis smiled at me.
Louis:Thanks.
Louis shut the door behind him, and turned to cup my cheeks with his hands.
Jily:Ahh, Louis—wait a sec—there's—
I pulled back quickly, feeling worried and a little shy about our unexpected guest.
Louis:What's wrong?

(I have no idea when Sid will get out of the bath, but—)

Jily:Louis, I need to tell you something.
I opened my mouth to explain what had happened that day, when—
Sid:Aww, ain't ya gonna put on a show for me, you two?
Sid was fully dressed in his dried clothes, and he smirked as he walked towards us.
Louis scowled with suspicion the second he saw Sid.
Louis:Sid.

Louis, Chapter 2, Part 5/5:

Sid looked at Louis's expression, and then smiled with obvious amusement.
Sid:You put in an early appearance.
Sid:And here I was just thinking about doing something fun with the princess.
Jily:C'mon, Sid—
I was so startled I couldn't think of what to say, and Louis scowled even further.
He glared at Sid across the short space that separated them.
Sid:Stop making such a scary face.
Sid grinned again, his tone clearly teasing, but Louis spoke in a soft, deep voice.
Louis:I won't back down when it comes to Jily.
Sid's eyes widened in surprise for a moment, and then one side of his mouth lifted in a smirk.
Sid:Is that so?
Sid:I'll let Giles know you said so.
Sid gave a casual wave and left the building.
I was alone in the room with Louis, but the atmosphere felt horribly tense and awkward.

(Ahh, what do I say? I feel as if I did something really bad, even though I know I didn't.)

I looked up at Louis, clenching my fingers together nervously.
Jily:Sid got caught in the rain and he looked like he'd catch an awful cold, so—
Louis spoke suddenly, cutting me off mid-explanation.
Louis:Let me be alone for a bit.
Jily:Louis?
I stared up at him in confusion, but he walked past me and stepped out of the room.
Unease welled up inside me, and I chewed my lower lip.

(Louis, are you mad at me?)

路易3

Louis, Chapter 3, Part 1/5:

I couldn't stand to stay in that silent room by myself, so I went outside for a short walk.

(It's like Louis wasn't even interested in hearing my explanation.
(He doesn't really think something happened between me and Sid, does he?)

I sighed softly, looking up at the starry sky overhead.

(I've never seen Louis so angry before.
(I don't know what to do.)

As I stared at the twinkling stars, I suddenly remembered something.

(What was it? If the star grants your wish, it'll play a small prank on you?
(If that really is true—)

Jily:I don't care about the wish anymore, just please let me fix things with Louis.
I whispered the words softly, and then I realized someone had stepped up next to me.

(Oh!)

I looked up to find Sid walking alongside me, keeping pace.
Sid:Sorry about today.
Jily:Sid—
I found myself frowning up at Sid, my heart aching.
Looking at him just reminded me of the anger in Louis's eyes.

(Why did this have to happen?)

Sid:Hey.
Sid made a disgruntled noise in his throat as he met my gaze.
Sid:Stop making that face, it's annoying.
Sid:Come with me.
Jily:What?
Sid caught me by the arm and began to lead me somewhere.

Louis, Chapter 3, Part 2/5:

The place Sid led me to was a bar that was well-known down in town.
Jily:Geez, Sid.
I shook Sid's arm off at last, but he ignored me and gestured for me to sit down.
I watched as he walked over to the bar and ordered drinks.

(If I stay out too much longer, Louis is going to get worried.)

I frowned at Sid as he walked back towards me carrying two glasses and sat down at the table.
Jily:I can't stay here any longer. I need to get back.
Sid:It's fine. Sit for a bit.
Sid lifted his glass to his mouth and took a sip, and he avoided my gaze as he spoke.
Sid:I know him better than you do.
Sid:Just sit down and listen, okay?
Jily:But—
At that moment I heard the clattering of the bell as the door to the bar opened.
Sid:Ahh, he's quicker than I thought.
Jily:What?
Sid put his glass down on the table and gestured to the door with his chin.
I turned in surprise to see who had just entered.

Louis, Chapter 3, Part 3/5:

Jily:Louis?
I turned at Sid's gesture and saw Louis standing just inside the door of the bar.
He was completely silent as he slowly crossed the room towards us.

(What are you doing here, Louis?)

I caught my breath, not sure what to think.
Before I could react, Sid slid his arm around my waist and pulled me towards him.
Jily:Sid, what the—
I lost my balance and fell towards him, putting my hands against his chest to catch myself.
I struggled to stand up again, but Sid pulled me closer and whispered in my ear.
Sid:Keep quiet and watch.
Jily:Huh?
Sid winked at me briefly and then turned to look at Louis.
Sid:You seem to be angry about what happened before.
Louis spoke in a soft, even tone as he drew closer to us.
Louis:So what?
Sid:Are you really gonna make up your mind without hearing what she's got to say?
Louis stopped walking and stared at Sid, his eyes narrow.
Louis:It's got nothing to do with you.
Sid smirked at Louis, his expression clearly amused.
Sid:If it were me I'd listen to what she said.
Sid tightened his grip on my waist, pulling me closer.
Sid:Maybe that means I like her more than you do?
Jily:Sid!
Louis scowled at Sid's words, his eyes narrowing even further.
He glared silently at Sid for a moment, and then—

Louis, Chapter 3, Part 4/5:

Louis glared silently at Sid for a moment, and then spoke in a crisp voice.
Louis:Let go of her.
I could feel the tension in the air between the two of them, and I didn't know what to do.
Sid narrowed his eyes, meeting Louis's gaze directly.
Then at last he made a noise of annoyance and loosened his grip on me.
Sid:Do what ya want.
Jily:Louis—
Louis reached out and took me by the hand, pulling me towards him.
Louis:Let's go.
Louis smiled at me and then led me towards the door.
As he did so, the brush that was in my handbag slipped out and fell to the floor.

(Oh!)

Louis stopped and leaned over to pick up my brush before looking back at Sid one last time.
Louis:And Sid—I care about Jily more than anyone else.
Louis:So stay away from her.
Sid looked directly at me, a smirk hovering around his lips.
Instead of saying anything, he just lifted his glass from the table and took a drink.
We stepped out of the bar, and Louis turned and began to walk home, still holding my hand.
I looked up at him as I hurried to keep up, wishing I could read his expression.
Jily:Louis?

(Are you still angry?
(Even so—)

Louis:And Sid—I care about Jily more than anyone else.
Louis:So stay away from her.

(I can't help but be happy about what you said.)

I squeezed Louis's hand gently, and he stopped walking.
Louis:Jily.

Louis, Chapter 3, Part 5/5:

Louis:Jily.
Louis tugged gently on my hand, pulling me into hiding next to one of the buildings.
He pressed me up against the wall, one hand on either side of me.
Jily:Louis?
Louis:No one will see us here, even if they walk right past.
A moment later his lips pressed against mine in a sudden deep kiss.
Louis:I'm sorry for getting angry.
Louis's expression turned wistful, and then he sighed softly.
Louis:I just—I can't stand seeing you with him of all people.
Jily:Really?
My voice cracked with surprise at his explanation, and I felt sudden relief coursing through me.

(Your anger wasn't because you thought something had happened between us.
(We haven't been able to spend a lot of time together, so I didn't understand, but—)

I reached up and cupped Louis's cheek with my hand, looking right into his eyes.
Jily:Thank you for telling me the truth.

(It's not easy for two people to stay together unless they tell each other how they really feel.)

I smiled up at Louis, and decided to tell him what I'd been thinking.
Jily:You know, when I heard that you had that work come up so suddenly—
Jily:I knew I shouldn't be feeling that way, but the truth was it made me lonely.
Louis:Jily—
Louis's eyes widened in surprise for a moment, and then he smiled sweetly.
Louis:Is it okay if we—kiss and make up?
Jily:Of course.
I nodded up at him, and our lips came together in a kiss, sharing how we both felt.

***

In no time at all, our time spent living together was over.
Giles:So what was it like, living together?
Louis and I were summoned to the study as soon as we returned to the palace.
We looked at each other for a moment, and then I turned back to Giles.
Jily:I feel like it was a holiday where I learned a lot of things.
Giles:Is that so?
Before Giles could say anything more, a servant's voice called for him from the hallway.
Giles:Please wait just a moment.
Giles stepped out of the room, and Louis and I looked at each other.

(I wish you and I—)

Louis:I wish we could be together like that again.
My eyes widened in surprise as Louis said exactly what I'd been in the midst of thinking.
Jily:Yes! I was just thinking the same thing.
Louis reached out and caressed my cheek gently.
Louis:Hey, Jily?

Louis, Chapter 4-Sweet Ending, Part 1/5:

Louis:Hey, Jily?
Louis touched my cheek gently, his expression relaxing into a sweet smile.
Jily:What is it?
Louis:There's someplace I'd like to go.
Jily:Really?
Louis:Yes.
Louis and I had been worried about the work that was piling up while we were gone,
so we'd returned to the palace a day ahead of schedule.

(Technically, we still have another day of vacation left.)

Jily:Then why don't we go there together?
Just as I finished speaking Giles returned to the study.
Giles:Sorry for keeping you both waiting.
Louis quietly moved a little further away from me.
Then he turned to greet Giles, as if nothing had happened.
Giles was frowning slightly, and after a short pause he spoke again.
Giles:I summoned you here to the study today because...
I glanced at Louis for a moment as I listened to Giles's explanation.

***

Giles had explained to us that although it would be the last day of our vacation, he wanted us to attend a party the next day.
I remembered the noblewoman I'd spoken to at a literary salon I'd attended before our vacation.

(She said she really wanted to see Louis dance.
(But I had no idea she was such an influential countess!)

Jily:I'm sorry, Louis.
Louis:It's not your fault.

(And you'd just said you wanted to go somewhere, too.)

Jily:But—
Louis reached out and pressed his finger against my lips.

Louis, Chapter 4-Sweet Ending, Part 2/5:

Louis pressed his finger gently against my lips, shushing me.
Louis:So long as I'm with you, that's all that matters.
Louis:Let's focus on dance practice for now.
He moved his finger away, and I smiled up at him, grateful for his kindness.
Jily:Okay. Thanks.
He took me by the hand, and we walked down the corridor together.

***

Once we reached the ballroom, Louis took me in his arms and we began to practice our dancing.
My skirts swirled around my legs as I followed the steps he'd taught me.
After a while Louis leaned close and whispered in my ear.
Louis:You've gotten so good at this.
Jily:I have?
I looked up at him in surprise, and as I did so my foot tangled with his.

(Ahh!)

I stumbled, about to fall, but Louis caught me, his arms tight around my waist.
Jily:Sorry, Louis!
I tried to right myself and step back, but Louis just hugged me tighter against him.
Jily:Louis?

(Aren't we meant to be dancing?)

I looked up to meet Louis's gaze, and realized his face was closer than I'd expected.
My heart skipped a beat as he smiled slowly, mischief sparkling in his eyes.
Louis:You've gotten so good you don't really need any more practice.
Louis:So for the rest of our dance lesson...

Louis, Chapter 4-Sweet Ending, Part 3/5:

Louis:So for the rest of our dance lesson...
Louis tilted his head to the side, his lips nibbling on my earlobe.
Jily:Louis! We're in the ballroom!
I stiffened in his grasp, looking around us, but he whispered sweetly in my ear.
Louis:It's not time for our lesson to end yet. No one is going to check on us.
His breath tickled my neck, and I could hear my heart pounding loudly in my ears.
Jily:Louis—
Louis reached down and caught at the laces on the front of my dress, slowly pulling the fabric there open.
Jily:Oh!
Louis:If you don't keep your voice down, someone will hear.
I could feel the smile on his lips as he pressed them against my bared skin.
Jily:But—
I reached out and twined my fingers in his hair, and he looked up at me.
Louis:Then what about my request?
Jily:What?
Louis:The place I want to go.
An impish smile toyed around his lips, and my eyes widened in surprise.
Jily:Wait a minute—the place you want to go—

Louis, Chapter 4-Sweet Ending, Part 4/5:

Jily:Wait a minute—the place you want to go—
I remembered then what Louis had said to me in the study.
Louis:I wish we could be together like that again.

(And a place in the palace where we could be together like that would be—)

Jily:Is it my room?
I looked up at Louis, and he smiled sweetly down at me.
Louis:Yes.
I felt myself blushing with anticipation as I understood what that meant.
Jily:So that means you—
I cut myself off, feeling my pulse racing again as my imagination ran wild.
Louis:Do you need to ask?
Jily:That's not what I meant!
I laughed helplessly, feeling silly and excited all at once.
Louis smiled at me again, his cheeks turning a faint red.
Louis:It's somewhere we can go even when we don't have holidays, right?
As soon as we reached my room, Louis wrapped his arms around me and lifted me into the air.
My heart was pounding hard enough to hurt in anticipation of all that was to come.

(It doesn't matter how many times we do this, I still get excited every time.
(I guess that's just what you do to me, Louis.)

Louis set me down on the bed, and knelt over me, his face close to mine.
Louis:Thank you, Jily.
Louis:For granting my wish.

Louis, Chapter 4-Sweet Ending, Part 5/5:

Louis pushed me back against the bed and hiked up my skirts, pressing his lips against my bare thigh.
Jily:Louis—
His name came out half gasp, half sigh, and I reached out to twine my fingers in his hair.
Louis smiled as he lifted my skirts higher, his lips moving further up my thigh.
Jily:Ahhhhh—
I cried out softly, my body writhing as Louis's lips and tongue slid between my legs.

***

It was morning, and gentle sunlight peeked through a crack in the curtains.
I finished styling my hair at my vanity table, and turned towards the bed.
Jily:Louis, time to wake up.
Louis:Nnnn—
I sat down on the bed and gently brushed Louis's hair back from his forehead.
Jily:If you don't hurry, we'll be late for the party.
Louis:I know.
Louis blinked up at me several times, and then—
Jily:Ahh!
He reached out and pulled me towards him.
Jily:Louis—!
I fell across his chest, and he wrapped his arms more tightly around me.
Louis:It makes me happy having you right here with me when I wake up.
Jily:Geez, Louis.
I giggled softly at his gentle expression, feeling warmth building up inside me.

(The star was the one who granted my wish, but—
(I want to be the one who grants your wish, Louis.)

I cupped Louis's cheeks with my hands, smiling down at him.

(And I want to always tell you how I feel.
(Because I want to stay with you, always and forever.)

Jily:Louis—I'm so happy, too.
I leaned over and kissed him softly, sharing all my happiness with him in that moment...

***

You've enjoyed a special story with your suitor.
Now enjoy a story where his forbidden wish comes true...
Louis:It's almost like you're my pet.

(I didn't mean for my selfish wish to come true.)

Louis lifted Jily into the air and laid her down on the bed.
He caught the hem of her dress and began to slide it upwards...
Will you take a peek at this sweet, sexy story, just for you?

Louis, Chapter 4-Premium Ending, Part 1/6:

Louis:Hey, Jily?
Jily:Yes?
Without warning Louis kissed me, a gentle, feather-light kiss.
Jily:Louis—what if Giles comes back—
My voice was flustered, and Louis's smile deepened.
Louis:He's not back yet.
He ran his thumb along my lower lip as he continued to speak.
Louis:And besides, we still have a day of vacation yet.
Jily:Oh—
Louis and I had been worried about the work that was piling up while we were gone, so we'd returned to the palace early.

(Tomorrow is technically the last day of our vacation.)

As I considered it, Louis leaned closer to study my expression.
Louis:Is there anywhere you'd like to go?
Jily:Well...
I thought about it for a moment.

(It might be nice to go out, but to be honest—)

Jily:So long as I can be alone with you, I—
Before I could finish there was a knock at the door, and it opened.
Giles:Sorry for keeping you waiting.

Louis, Chapter 4-Premium Ending, Part 2/6:

Giles:Sorry for keeping you waiting.
Giles returned to the study and crossed over to the desk, placing some documents on it.
Giles:By the way, Duke Howard—
Giles:Will you be staying at the palace this evening?

(It's still our vacation, so we can still be together.
(It makes me happy, but I still can't help feeling sad to think we've only got one day left.)

As I turned my gaze on Louis, I saw him shaking his head at Giles.
Louis:No.

(Wait, what?)

I'd been so sure he'd be staying at the palace, and I didn't know what to think.
Jily:Louis—are you going home?
Louis:Yes.
Louis:I'll come get you tomorrow.
I nodded silently, but I felt a sudden ache growing in my heart.
I looked away, unable to think of anything more to say.

That evening I sat alone on a bench in the garden, staring moodily at the flowers.
I thought back to my conversation with Louis earlier that day.

〝Louis:Is there anywhere you'd like to go?〞
〝Jily:So long as I can be alone with you, I—〞

(I thought I'd made it pretty clear how I felt.)

I sighed and looked up at the stars spread out across the sky above.
Loneliness had filled me up inside since the moment Louis had returned home.

(Why did you have to go home? It's still our vacation.)

As I sat there blinking up at the stars, a voice spoke from behind me.
???:What are you doing out here?

Louis, Chapter 4-Premium Ending, Part 3/6:

Leo:What are you doing out here?
I was staring up at the stars, but I saw Leo approach out of the corner of my eye.
Jily:Oh, Leo!
Leo smiled at me, and sat down next to me on the bench.
Leo:It's not like you to be looking so miserable.
Jily:Well—
I hadn't realized my feelings were showing so plainly, but as I looked up at Leo, I had a sudden thought.

(I wish I knew what Louis was really thinking.
(Maybe you can give me some advice or insight, Leo.)

I turned towards Leo, and started to explain, my voice hesitant.
Leo listened quietly, but when I'd finished talking he burst out laughing.
Leo:You're both adorable.
Jily:What?
I couldn't help but pout as Leo continued to laugh.
Jily:You don't have to laugh THAT much!

(I'm seriously upset here!)

Leo:Ahh, I'm sorry! You're just so sweet, getting so worked up over this.
Leo stopped laughing at last, and sat up again, facing me.
Leo:I'm sure Louis is planning to do something special for you.
Jily:You think so?
Leo:If it were me, I'd say something directly, because I understand a little better how women feel about stuff like this.
Leo:But Louis? He's not so good with his words.
I remembered Louis's expression then, and I smiled a little.
Jily:Well, you're right about that.
Leo:So you should probably get dressed up all nicely for him, because I'm sure it'll be something nice.
Leo:Aren't you looking forward to it? Finding out what he's planning for you?

Louis, Chapter 4-Premium Ending, Part 4/6:

The next morning—
I finished getting dressed and put on my new hat, then sat waiting for Louis to arrive.
At last there was a knock at the door, and I heard the voice I'd been waiting to hear.
Louis:Jily.
I turned around, and Louis's eyes widened as he looked at me.
Jily:What's the matter?
Louis:Your outfit—and your hat—they suit you really well.
Jily:Thank you.
I blushed happily as his sweet compliment, and he stepped closer and offered me his hand.
Louis:Let's go.

***

The place Louis took me to was a beautiful open meadow, with tall pink flowers blooming brightly everywhere.
Jily:It's beautiful!
It was even more wonderful than I'd imagined, and I found myself smiling brightly.

(It's just like Leo said—Louis was preparing something special for me.)

A gentle breeze caressed my hair and tried to steal my hat away.
I reached up to press it more firmly against my head as I looked up at Louis.
Jily:Thank you, Louis.
Louis:You're welcome.
Louis smiled gently down at me, and then reached towards me.
Louis:But what I really wanted to show you was—
Jily:Oh!

Louis, Chapter 4-Premium Ending, Part 5/6:

Jily:Oh!
Louis wrapped his arms around me, and then pulled me down into the flowers with him.
Jily:Ahh—
I gasped in surprise as we landed in a soft bed of grass and bent flowers.
The flowers around us were all so tall that we were completely hidden from view.

(This is—)

All I could see was flower stems and Louis's sweet face, smiling brightly at me.
Louis:It's like we're the only two people in the world.
Jily:Yes, it is.
I snuggled closer to him, looking up to meet his eyes.
Jily:Were you looking for this place yesterday?
Louis:Yes. After all, you told me you wanted to be with me.
Jily:Louis—
Happiness welled up inside me, and I leaned closer as Louis twined his fingers in my hair.
Louis:You looked so lonely yesterday when I said I was going home.
Jily:Well—

(You understood everything, didn't you?)

I blushed a little to realize that my emotions were so obvious, but Louis just smiled gently.
Louis:I'm sorry, Jily.
Louis:I'll make sure you don't feel lonely at all today.
Louis let go of my hair, and it tumbled down against my neck again.
He wrapped his arms more tightly around me and rolled us over until I was on top of him.

Louis, Chapter 4-Premium Ending, Part 6/6:

Louis pulled me on top of him, and began to slide up the hem of my skirt.
Jily:Louis—
I glanced around, but all I could see were flowers.
Louis:There's no one here. And they couldn't see even if they were.
Jily:Are you sure?
Louis smiled slowly, and rolled us over again so that he was on top.
Louis:Does this make it better?
I couldn't help but laugh as his mischievous smile, but I still felt uneasy.
Jily:It's just so—out in the open—
Louis frowned thoughtfully for a moment, his gaze going distant.
Louis:How about I make you forget all about that then?
Jily Louis—
Louis lowered his lips to my neck, nibbling and licking my skin, and I gasped.
He slid the straps of my dress off my shoulders and slowly slid it downwards, baring my breasts.
His lips moved to claim the newly bared skin, suckling and kissing it gently.
Louis:Jily—
His breath was warm as he whispered my name, his voice husky and wanting.
His every kiss and touch sent thrills cascading through my body, and I gasped helplessly.
My dress slid down still further, and the grass tickled my back even as Louis's hair tickled my bared stomach.
I moaned softly, reaching up to thread my fingers through his hair.
He looked up at me, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.
Louis:Have you forgotten where we are yet?

(Ahhh! Why did you have to remind me?)

Jily:I had, but—
I chewed on my lower lip for a moment, feeling exposed as the sun shone down on us and the breeze whistled by.

(But the truth is, somehow that doesn't seem to matter any more.
(So long as you're here with me like this—)

I lifted my head and pressed a soft kiss against his lips.
Jily:You know what I want.

(I want to touch you, and let you touch me.)

Louis's eyes widened in surprise for a moment, and then he smiled again, and it was dazzling.
Louis:I do.
His hands slid along my bare skin, cupping my breasts and kneading them softly.
Jily:Ohhhh—
I sighed breathlessly as he lowered his lips to kiss my breasts again.
Louis:Jily, you're so warm.
Jily:That's because of you, Louis.
Louis's lips moved across my skin, kissing my most sensitive places, and I closed my eyes with a soft moan.

(I'm always lost in you, Louis.)
