A child comes visit you, claiming that you're their mother?!

Prologue：
The clouds seemed like soft, fluffy wisps of cotton as they floated through the clear blue sky.
I'd just returned from a trip to a neighboring country, where I'd enjoyed the royal family's hospitality.
Nico and I were walking down one of the corridors that looked out over the courtyard.
Nico "There's still some time before your next meeting, so you should sit and relax for a while after that trip.
Nico "Or if you're really tired, you could take a nap. I promise I'll wake you in time."
Nico's voice was bright and reassuring, and I smiled, feeling grateful.
But I shook my head as I looked up to meet his gaze.
Jily "Thanks, Nico, but I'm fine, really. I feel good, actually.
Jily "I really enjoyed that trip."
Nico "The young prince is quite taken with you, isn't he?"
Jily "He is. I think he's a darling, too."
Since becoming the princess, I'd formed a strong friendship with this royal family, and I visited them whenever I could.
Still, it had been a while since I'd seen them, and the prince had come running excitedly as soon as he'd spied my carriage.
（I can't believe he's grown so much since the last time I saw him! And I swear he gets more adorable by the day!）
Jily "I'd love to build a family as wonderful as that, one day."
The words came unbidden as I thought of the young boy, and Nico beamed cheerfully at me.
Nico "I bet you could start building a family like that any time now.
Nico "After all, the two of you are already as thick as thieves."
Jily "Geez, Nico—"
I blushed at the idea of Nico thinking about my suitor and I doing the sort of thing required to start building a family.
（Still, I can't deny that I like the idea.
（I can totally imagine us in the future—me, him, and the beautiful children we'll have together...）
I grinned to myself, and at that exact moment, there was a sudden, bright flash from near one of the trees in the courtyard.
Jily "What the—"
Nico "What on earth was that?"
Nico and I turned to stare at each other, and then we both hurried towards the spot where the light had come from...
