★Get 40 Medallions and unlock Robert's Story★

40

It was a bright, sunny afternoon, with a faint rainbow spanning the sky overhead.
Robert was sitting next to me on the sofa, and I held out the plushie I'd made for him.
Robert:Is this for me?
Robert's eyes widened in surprise as he looked down at the toy that looked so much like him.
Jily:The children at the orphanage were making plushies that look like the person they love.
Jily:They asked me if I wanted to make one too, so...

(They also said that it means you'll be with that person forever.)
(But that's too embarrassing—I can't say that!)

Robert lifted his gaze from the plushie,
his eyes wide with surprise as they met mine.
Robert:The person they love?

(Ahhhh!)

Robert was staring at me curiously,
and I desperately searched for the right words to cover up what I'd said.
Jily:I mean, in my case it's more like someone I rely on often, but...

(The truth is, I really respect and admire you, but—)

I could feel myself blushing as I lied so blatantly about my true feelings.
Jily:I know it's not enough to thank you for all you've done for me, but...
I looked up at Robert again, in time to find him smiling gently at me.
Robert:Thank you. I'll treasure it.

(Oh, thank goodness!)

I breathed a sigh of relief,
both that he'd accepted it and that he hadn't questioned my explanation too closely.
Robert:But—
Robert frowned a little as he spoke, his gaze lowering.
Robert:You really worked hard on this, didn't you?
He reached out and took my hand in his, his grip gentle.
Jily:This is just because I was being careless.
I looked down at the bandage wrapped around my finger, feeling embarrassed again.
I'd accidentally stabbed myself in the finger multiple times while sewing the plushie.
Robert:Wait a moment.
Robert smiled brightly at me, and crossed to the far side of his studio.
He pulled a small first aid box out of his chest of drawers.
Robert:Did you bandage it yourself?
Jily:I did. After all, I'm the one who caused the injury...
Robert:You're far too modest, Jily.
Robert:That hasn't changed at all, not since you were little.
Robert sat down next to me again, and unwrapped the bandage on my finger.
He lifted my hand closer to his face, studying my wounded fingertip.
Robert:This looks like it'll heal up soon.
Jily:Yes, I hope so.
His hand was warm where it touched mine,
and my heart was pounding so loudly I could barely hear a thing.
It was all I could do just to smile and answer him normally.
Robert lowered my hand again, and rubbed an ointment gently into my skin.
Then he began to wind a fresh bandage around my finger, and I began to blush again.

(I bet this is nothing to you.)
(That you don't feel anything special when you touch me.)

I stared at Robert's face in profile as he tended my injury.

(But it's different for me.)

My heart ached a little in my chest as I thought about it.

(You're someone I've always admired, and yet now, what I feel is—)

At that moment,
Robert finished tying the bandage on my finger, and looked up to meet my gaze.
Robert:All done.
Robert:You should take better care of yourself.
Jily:I know. Thank you very much.

(Will you ever see me as an adult?)
(As a woman?)
(Or will I always seem like a child to you?)

Robert's hand was so warm and gentle against mine, yet so much bigger than my own.
His gentle touch was enough to leave my heart racing for a long time after he'd let go...

Get 70 Medallions and unlock Nico's Story

The sky overhead was a brilliant blue, with a scattering of white clouds.
I was on a break from my work, standing just outside Nico's room.

(I wonder if he'll like it?)

I was holding my present for him hidden behind my back, and I squeezed it tightly.
My heart was pounding with nervousness as I knocked on the door in front of me.
Nico:Jily?
Nico looked surprised at my unexpected visit, his eyes wide and round.
But a moment later he smiled brightly at me, inviting me into his room.
He encouraged me to sit down on the sofa, so I did.
He tried to sneak a glance behind my back as he sat down next to me.
Nico:What are you holding?
Jily:Actually, I have a present for you...
I pulled out the plushie I'd made, and told him about my day at the orphanage.
Nico's face was suddenly all smiles as he took the plushie from me.
Nico:Thank you! I'm so happy!

(Oh, thank goodness.)

His beaming smile filled me with warmth and joy.
Nico:I want to give you something in return.
Nico:Close your eyes for a bit.

(Wait, what?)

Nico:C'mon, Jily, quick!
I didn't know what to think, but he sounded so eager and enthused.
My heart began to beat a little faster in anticipation as I slowly closed my eyes.
Nico slid his fingers under my chin, lifting my face towards him.

(Are you—)

I sat there, eyes still closed, feeling his face approaching mine.

(I was right!)

I tried to ignore the pounding of my heart as I waited for the kiss I knew was coming.
Suddenly I felt something soft like cloth touch my lips.

(Wait, what?)

I opened my eyes in surprise and confusion.
Nico was grinning mischievously at me, the plushie I'd given him held in his hand.
Nico:Ooh, you totally thought I was going to kiss you, didn't you?
My cheeks flushed red at the teasing tone of his voice.
Jily:Well, of course I did!

(Anyone would think that after what you did!)

I pouted at him, turning my face away to try and hide my blush.
But he moved his head to catch my gaze again, his smile sweet.
Nico:You're adorable. Hey, close your eyes again, okay?

(You're just going to tease me again, aren't you?)

But I could never say no to Nico, so I closed my eyes again.
I waited in silence and darkness, my heart pounding.
Time seemed to stretch out forever as I wondered what he was going to do next.

(Oh!)

I felt the sweet warmth of his lips against mine, just for a moment.
I opened my eyes as his face moved away from mine.
He smiled brightly at me, his eyes dancing.
Nico:That's your present from me.
A moment later he pushed me down against the soft sofa cushions.
Happiness tumbled through me as he reached up to brush my hair back from my face.
Nico:I feel the same as you—I want to be with you forever.
His smile was bright and infectious as he leaned over to kiss my earlobe.
Jily:Ohhhhh—Nico—
His lips moved down to my neck as his hands slid along my body over my clothes,
and I gasped helplessly.

(You really know how to surprise me sometimes, Nico.)
(But every single thing you do makes me so happy.)

Nico:Jily, I love you.
His voice was huskier than usual, and it set my heart pounding.
I buried my face in his shoulder as I gasped and moaned under his sweet kisses and caresses...

Get 100 Medallions and unlock Albert's Story

100

The moon was full and round, floating high in the star-filled sky overhead.
I was visiting Stein as part of my duties as the princess.
Albert showed me to my room, and lit the lamp next to my bed.
Albert:I'm sure you must be tired, so please, get some rest.
Jily:Thank you.
Albert:I will take my leave, then.
Albert turned and headed towards the door, and without thinking I called after him.
Jily:Um, Albert?
Albert stopped in surprise, turning to look at me with curiosity on his face.
Albert:What's the matter?
I reached into my bag and brought out the plushie that I'd made to look like him.
Jily:I wanted to give you this.
Albert slowly crossed over to where I was standing,
and I held out the plushie to him.
His eyes widened in surprise as he took it from me.
Albert:Is this a doll... of me?
Jily:Yes. Actually—
I explained to him about my visit to the orphanage,
and what the children had told me.
Albert:Together forever?
Albert reached up and began to fiddle with his glasses.
He smiled gently at me, his cheeks slowly flushing red.
Jily:Yes. But I couldn't make any glasses for him, in the end. I'm sorry.
The plushie that I'd given to Albert wasn't wearing glasses,
so it didn't look quite right.

(I had to make him in between the work I was doing,)
(and I just didn't have enough time!)

Albert:In that case—
Albert muttered under his breath as he removed his glasses and put them on the plushie instead.
Albert:They're a little big, but this should work.
Albert's expression was satisfied as he gazed down at the toy.
Jily:But then you can't see, can you?
Albert:I should be fine like this.
As Albert spoke, he moved to place the plushie down on the bedside table.
But instead he tripped against the edge of the table itself.

(Oh!)

On instinct I squeezed my eyes shut as he stumbled towards me.
A moment later I felt the softness of the bed beneath me,
and the weight of Albert on top of me.
I hesitantly opened my eyes again.
I found myself staring straight into Albert's eyes,
his face so close we were almost touching.
Jily:Oh!
My cheeks were suddenly burning, and I chewed hesitantly on my lower lip.
Albert:I'm so sorry. Are you all right?
Albert frowned a little as he studied me, his face moving closer still.

(You can't see at all, can you?)

The closer he moved to me, the faster my heart was racing.
It was almost too much, and I couldn't help turning my face a little to the side.
Jily:You should put your glasses on—
I started to sit up, wishing I could calm my pounding heart.
But Albert pressed a gentle hand against my shoulder,
pushing me back against the soft bed.

(Albert?)

I looked up in confusion, and as I met his gaze I realized he was blushing again.
Albert:I find it easier to... tell you how I feel like this.
Albert:So please, can we stay like this for now?
A gentle smile graced his lips, and a moment later they caught mine in a kiss.
The kiss quickly deepened, and I closed my eyes,
wanting to give myself over to the moment.
My pulse was roaring in my ears, and I moaned softly in my throat.

(Whenever I'm with you—)
(I'm always so happy, and so filled with contentment.)

Albert leaned close to whisper in my ear, telling me how he really felt.
I reached up to embrace him, smiling at the joy his words brought me...

Get 160 Medallions and unlock Giles's Story

It was evening, and the breeze coming in through the window had a chilly edge to it.
I used sewing scissors to cut the end of the thread I'd just finished sewing.

(Ahh, I don't think it turned out very well, in the end.)

I'd made a plushie that was meant to look like Giles,
and I stared down at it where it sat on the desk in front of me.

(I did my best in between all the work I've had lately, but—)

I hadn't really found enough time,
and the plushie had some frayed edges and threads still sticking out.

(I guess I'll just have to start again.)

I sighed softly, my shoulders slumping as I stared down at the little toy.
At that moment there was a knock at the door,
and Giles stuck his head into the room.
Giles:I'd like to go over tomorrow's schedule with you, if you have a moment?
Jily:Yes, that's fine.

(Oops, I need to hide this from you!)

I hurriedly picked up the plushie from the desk,
but it slipped through my fingers and fell to the floor.

(Oh no!)

Giles had been crossing the room towards me as it happened,
and the toy fell at his feet and bounced off his shoe.
Giles:What is—
Giles's eyes widened in surprise as he picked up the toy and stared at it.
Giles:Is this me?
Giles placed the plushie on the desk in front of him, gazing at it curiously.

(Oh well, the cat's out of the bag now.)

Jily:Yes. Actually—
I went on to explain to him about my visit to the orphanage,
and what the children had told me.
Giles:So that's what this is about.
Jily:Yes. But I was just thinking I'll have to make it over from scratch.
Giles toyed with one of the frayed edges as I spoke, and then he laughed softly.
Giles:You don't seem satisfied with how it turned out.
Jily:No, not really.

(I wanted to give you one that turned out well.)

I chewed my lower lip, my gaze dropping away.
But a moment later Giles caught my chin in his hand, lifting my head again.
Giles:There is no need for you to start over again.

(What?)

My eyes went wide with surprise, and he laughed softly again.
Giles:This plushie clearly conveys to me everything that you feel.
Jily:It does?
Giles dropped his hand away from my chin,
his gaze fond as he stared down at the plushie.
Giles:It tells me things like... the fact that you love me.

(Ahh, when you say it so openly like that it makes me blush.)

My cheeks flushed at his words, and I looked down at my hands.

(And yet—)
(That's what I was thinking when I made it, so I'm glad that it shows.)

I couldn't help smiling, and I looked up at Giles again, ignoring my red cheeks.
Giles:So may I have him?
Giles's gaze was so gentle that it sent a thrill of joy right through me.

(If you're happy with him as he is—)

I picked up the plushie from the desk and held him out to Giles.
Giles:Thank you very much.
Giles took the plushie from me,
and reached out to brush my hair back from my face as he kissed me.
His hand slid around behind my neck, pulling me closer as he deepened the kiss.
With his other hand he slid the shoulder of my dress down slowly.
I could feel his fingers tracing gently against my bared skin.
I moaned softly in my throat, and at last our lips parted.
Giles:I want to be with you forever, Jily.

(You can be so strict sometimes, but you always understand how I feel.)
(And I know just how kind you really are, deep down inside.)

My heart was pounding with anticipation in response to his gentle caresses.
I reached up and wrapped my arms around him as I closed my eyes...

Get 200 Medallions and unlock Leo's Story

200

It was evening, and the late night breeze was chilly against my cheek.
I'd finished my work for the day, and I paid Leo a visit in his study.
We sat on the sofa together, and I gave him the plushie I'd made,
and told him the story I'd heard at the orphanage.
Leo:Wow. It really looks like me.
Leo's eyes were wide with surprise as he studied the plushie.
Leo:Jily, you're so good at sewing!
Leo smiled brightly up at me as he spoke, and I found myself smiling back at him.

(I wasn't sure if I could do a good job, so I'm really glad you like it!)

Leo was still staring at the plushie, and suddenly his expression turned serious.
Leo:But—

(Uh-oh, did you find a mistake or something?)

Nervousness welled up inside me as I waited for him to go on.
Leo:Is he wearing anything under his clothes?
Leo reached down and flipped up the jacket of the plushie.
Jily:Geez, Leo!
Leo:I just thought, if you're gonna do such a great job,
Leo:you should do this part, too.
Leo's smirk was bright with amusement as he glanced over at me.

(Gah, sometimes you're so embarrassing!)

I could feel my cheeks flushing, and I turned my gaze away from his.
Leo:Well, now's your chance.
Leo:Do you want to take a good look at the real thing?

(Leo, are you serious?)

I looked up in surprise to find Leo beginning to remove his jacket.
Jily:Leo—!
My voice squeaked with disbelief, and Leo grinned at me.
Leo:Just kidding!
He began to laugh helplessly, and I couldn't help but laugh as well.

(Ahhh, you're always so ridiculous.)

A moment later Leo leaned closer and pressed a soft kiss against my lips.
He pulled back again, a sudden sweet smile gracing his features.
Leo:Sorry.
Leo:I can't help myself. You just react so cutely.
He leaned closer again, catching my gaze and holding it.
There was such affection in his eyes that my heart began to sing sweetly.
Leo:I'm so glad to know how you feel about this.
Leo's lips captured mine again in another soft kiss.
His kisses quickly grew deeper,
and a moment later he pushed me back against the sofa.
I could feel him pressing down against me as we kissed, and I moaned softly.
He moved to kiss my face all over,
from my forehead to my cheeks to my nose.
Jily:Leo—
I couldn't help but giggle at the sudden shower of kisses.
Leo:These are kisses to show how happy I am.
Leo:I hope you don't mind.
Leo grinned down at me, and then began to kiss me again.

(Ohhh, when you kiss me like this—)

Pleasure flooded through my body, filling me with warmth and anticipation.
At last Leo pressed his lips against mine again in another sweet kiss.
He was still smiling, but I could see a serious edge to his gaze as he pulled back.
Leo:I don't have a Jily plushie to give to you, but—
Leo:I can still be with you forever, right?
The affection in his eyes sent a surge of joy flooding through me.
Jily:Of course.
I smiled back at him, as brightly as I could,
and happiness filled his expression.

(You always understand me, and you're always there for me.)
(I want to be with you forever and ever.)

He began to kiss me again, and I responded eagerly.
His hand slid down to the bottom of my dress,
slipping under the fabric and caressing my bare skin.
I gasped into his mouth, our kiss breaking for just a moment.
Leo's fingers slowly made their way up my thigh, and a sweet shiver ran down my spine.
I reached up and wrapped my arms around him,
as if I could pull him closer still...

Get 240 Medallions and unlock Louis's Story

It was late afternoon, and wispy clouds floated lazily across the sky overhead.
I'd wanted to thank Louis for taking the time to show me around the orphanage,
so I was visiting him at his mansion.
Louis:I'll go and arrange some tea for us, so wait a moment, okay?
Jily:Thanks.
Louis gave me a brief smile before he stepped out of the room.
I sighed softly as I stared at the closed door.

(Ahh, when should I give it to him?)

I reached into my bag and pulled out the plushie I'd made to look just like Louis.
I felt nervous, and I looked around the room, trying to distract myself.
But as I did so—

(Oh!)

My gaze was caught by something sitting on a nearby shelf.
I approached it to take a closer look.
It was a plushie of a girl wearing a pretty dress.

(Where did this come from?)

As I stared at it curiously,
I heard the sound of the door opening again as Louis returned.
Jily:Louis, what's this?
I pointed to the plushie, and Louis gave me a shy smile.
Louis:I made it with the children at the orphanage,
Louis:after you went home that day.
Louis:It was so I could give it to you.

(So this is a plushie of me?)

My heart was filled with sudden warmth as I realized what that meant.

(Oh wow, I'm so happy!)

Suddenly I couldn't stop smiling,
and then Louis stepped closer, pointing to what I was holding.
Louis:Don't tell me you made this for me?

(Oh!)
(That's right—I need to give him to you.)

I looked up, meeting Louis's pale blue gaze.
I smiled at him as I held out the Louis plushie I was holding.
Louis took it, and held it out next to the plushie he'd made of me.
Louis:I'm really happy to know that you feel the same way I do.
Louis's smile was gentle, and my heart sang at the sight of it.
Jily:I do—I want to be with you for always, Louis.
I blushed a little as I said the words, smiling back at him.
Louis dropped his gaze away, his long lashes feathering against his cheek.
His blond hair tumbled down over his face, hiding his expression from view.

(Louis—)

I studied him for a moment, and then I realized his ears were red.

(Don't tell me—are you blushing?)

Before I could say anything, Louis moved his plushie closer to mine.
He pressed their lips together in a kiss.
Louis:It's so easy to make them kiss, isn't it?

(Louis—)

I felt my blush deepen, and I giggled softly.
Louis:Jily.
His husky voice had a pleading edge to it, and I lifted my face towards him.
Louis:I want to kiss you, too.
His eyes were clear and filled with love,
and my heart began to race as I stared up at him.

(Ahhh, when you say it like that—)
(I want to do more than just kiss you!)

Jily:Okay.
I spoke softly, and Louis smiled down at me, happiness lighting up his expression.
He leaned closer, and I tilted my chin upwards until our lips met in a soft kiss.
Our kisses grew quickly deeper,
and I barely noticed as I pressed up against the bookcase behind me.
Louis:Jily, I love you. Now and for always...
Louis placed the plushies on the shelf behind us,
his lips moving down towards my neck.
I gasped softly as he nibbled and licked my bare skin.
I shivered at the sweet sensation,
and I could feel Louis's lips curve into a smile against my skin.

(I feel the same way, Louis.)
(I love you now, and I'll love you forever.)

Warmth and desire filled me up inside as I reached up to wrap my arms around him...

Get 290 Medallions and unlock Sid's Story

290

The sunlight was gentle and warm as it lit up the bright blue sky.
I was visiting Sid's place because I wanted to give him the plushie I'd made.
Yet my heart was racing as I stepped into his room.

(Just thinking about giving it to you makes me so nervous.)

I was hiding the toy behind my back,
and I clutched it tightly between my fingers.

(You're just gonna think I'm being childish, aren't you?)

Sid:What are you spacing out about?
Jily:What? Oh, sorry!
I realized I'd stopped just inside the door, and I looked up at Sid.
He was staring at me in confusion, a small frown creasing his forehead.

(Ahh, what do I do?)

I couldn't make up my mind about the plushie,
and I glanced behind me for a second.
Sid:What are you holding?
Jily:Oh!
His words startled me out of my daze, but I couldn't quite look him in the eye.

(I know if I give it to you you're probably just going to tease me.)
(But I made it for you. I was thinking of you the whole time.)

Sid's eyes crinkled in amusement as he walked towards me.

(Right, I'm just gonna give it to you.)

I brought out the plushie I'd been hiding behind my back, and showed it to Sid.
He stopped short, his eyes widening a little as he studied it.
Jily:The truth is...
I went on to quickly explain to him the story I'd heard that day at the orphanage.

(You're probably going to tease me, but...)

I looked up at Sid, fully prepared for his smirk and his mocking words.
Sid:You didn't have to make anything special.
Sid:You're my girl. I wasn't gonna let you go anyway.
He reached out, his big, rough hand ruffling my hair gently.
His words and caress sent a lingering ache through my heart.

(Ahh, you're so sneaky,)
(just coming out with something so sweet like that!)

I could feel how hot my cheeks were, and I ducked my gaze away.
A moment later I heard him laughing softly.
Sid:You're blushing. You're so easy to read.
I glanced up at him, and saw the knowing smirk playing around his lips.
Jily:Geez. Stop teasing me.
I pouted as I spoke, but to my surprise Sid frowned a little in response.

(Sid?)

Sid:I kinda want to tease you more.
Sid:But I'm feeling a bit odd myself.
Jily:What?
I blinked up at Sid in confusion, not sure what he was getting at.
A moment later he wrapped his arms around me in a strong embrace.
I looked up to meet his gaze, and found him smiling down at me.
Sid:Ya don't get it, do ya?
Jily:Nope.
Sid:How about this, then?
Sid reached out and slid his hand around behind my head.
He pulled me gently forward, pressing my ear up against his broad chest.

(Oh wow—)

I could clearly hear the sound of his heartbeat,
and it was much faster than usual.
Sid:I don't wanna tease you right now.
Sid:'Cause I'm just that happy about your present.

(I made you that happy? Really?)

The sound of his racing heart set my own heart racing, almost as if in time.
I looked joyfully up at Sid, and he caught my lips in a gentle kiss.

(I feel so happy when I'm with you like this.)

He kissed me again and again, pushing me back against the door.
Sid:I love you so much it's enough to drive me crazy.
Sid buried his face in my shoulder, his lips nibbling sweetly on my bare skin.
I could feel warmth and desire rising up inside, spreading through my whole body.
My heart was filled with warmth and anticipation as I reached up to wrap my arms around him...

Get 310 Medallions and unlock Alyn's Story

310

The bright sunlight from outside shone in through the window, lighting up the room.
I sighed softly, looking down at the plushie I'd just finished making.

(I think it turned out pretty good, in the end.)

I was sitting on the sofa, and I sat the Alyn plushie on my knee with a smile.

(Now I just have to give it to him. But—)

Without warning a voice spoke from behind me.
???:What are you doing in here?
Jily:Alyn!
I turned in surprise to find Alyn poking his head into the room.
Alyn:What's that?
Alyn crossed the room, looking down at the plushie sitting in my lap.
Jily:Well, it's—
I hesitated, and then told Alyn the story I'd heard at the orphanage.
Jily:So I was thinking I wanted to give it to you, as a present.
Alyn:Hmm.

(But I guess you're not really gonna be happy to be given a toy, huh?)

Alyn's response was short and disinterested,
and my heart ached a little.
I picked up the toy, hugging it tightly to my chest.
Alyn frowned immediately,
and a moment later he wrapped me in a warm embrace.

(Waaah! What the—)

My eyes flew wide with surprise as I looked up at him.
Jily:That was sudden! What's wrong?
Alyn:I know you said it's a toy of me,
Alyn:but—why are you hugging him instead of me?
Alyn let go of me again, flopping down on the sofa next to me.
Alyn:I'm right here. So come over here.
I couldn't help but giggle a little at his words, even as I blushed.
I glanced across at Alyn, and he grinned suddenly.
Alyn:Why are you blushing?
Jily:Well, you just—

(I wasn't expecting you to say something like that!)

Alyn:I just what?
Alyn slid his finger under my chin,
lifting my face towards him until our lips were almost touching.
Jily:Are you sure you want me to hug you?
Alyn:Well, you want to hug him, don't you?
I followed Alyn's gaze to the plushie I was still holding tightly in my arms.
My heart began to pound a little, and I lowered the toy to my lap.
Then I reached out towards Alyn, wrapping my arms tightly around him,
my hands clenching in his shirt.

(Sometimes it's nice being proactive like this.)

Alyn's eyes widened a little as I tightened my grip on him.
I glanced up at him and saw that his cheeks were red,
and I suddenly wanted to giggle again.

(Don't tell me—)

Jily:Are you blushing?
Alyn:I'm not blushing.
Jily:But—
Before I could say anything further,
Alyn swallowed my words with a sudden kiss.
His lips were firm and sure against mine, and I gasped into his mouth.
Alyn:Anyway.
Alyn:From now on, hug me.
I opened my eyes to find Alyn staring straight at me, his gaze serious.
Alyn:Okay?
Jily:Okay.
I smiled a little to myself as I nodded back at him.
Alyn:Also. Don't go thinking I'm not happy about this present.

(Wait, what?)

I thought back to Alyn's expression when I'd shown him the plushie.

(You seemed disinterested, but it wasn't that, was it?)

Alyn:I just want you to save all your hugs for me.
His words were a soft murmur, and my heart skipped a beat.

(Oh, Alyn—)

Alyn:But that story about the dolls—it made me happy.
Alyn:I want you to be by my side forever, too.
Alyn's crimson eyes were clear and bright,
and my heart sang as I looked up at him.

(I was worried about whether you'd like it nor not, but—)
(I'm so glad to know that you feel the same way I do.)

Alyn reached down and undid the ribbon ties on my dress,
his fingers caressing my bare skin.
He leaned close and pressed a soft kiss against my collarbone.
Jily:Alyn—
I gasped his name helplessly as I felt warmth flooding through me.
He began to run his hands over my body,
and I arched my back towards him, giving myself over to the moment...

The sky was clear, and the stars were twinkling brightly overhead.
Byron and I had finished an inspection of the local town before returning to Byron's room at Stein Castle.
We sat down to take a break, and then Byron spoke as if remembering something.
Byron:You were looking at a lot of dolls today.
Jily:Was I?
Byron:Was there something unusual that caught your eye?
I realized then that he was right—
the whole day I'd kept noticing the stores and stalls selling dolls and stuffed toys.

(You really notice everything, Byron.)

I dropped my gaze away for a moment,
feeling a little embarrassed at the realization.
Jily:Not exactly. It was just—
I hesitated, and then told him about my day at the orphanage,
and what the children had told me.
Jily:And so...
I reached into my bag and pulled out the plushie I'd made to look like Byron.

(I can't help feeling nervous about giving you this, but—)

I looked up at Byron, and felt relieved by the gentleness of his gaze.

(I made this to show you how I feel about you.)

I offered the plushie to Byron with a hopeful smile.
Jily:It's just a plush doll, but—
Jily:If it could help us be together forever...
My voice trailed off, and I could feel the blush creeping up my cheeks.
Byron's expression relaxed into a gentle smile.
Byron:How adorable.
Warmth filled me up inside to have him praise the toy I'd made.
Jily:Thank you.
Jily:But I don't think I did a very good job with it—
Byron:No, that's not what I meant.

(Wait, what?)

I looked up at him in surprise, my eyes wide,
only to find him gazing at me with affection.
Byron:I was talking about you.

(Me?)

It wasn't what I'd expected, and my blush deepened.
(Ahhh, I don't know what to say to that!)
Byron reached out to cup my cheek with his hand, tilting my face up towards him.
His gaze was clear as it met mine, and a moment later he kissed me.
My heart was pounding like crazy in my chest,
and I closed my eyes and kissed him back.
At last our lips parted, and then Byron lifted me into the air.

(Aaah!)

For a moment I thought I might fall,
and I reached out hastily and wrapped my arms around Byron's neck.
Jily:I'm sorry!
Byron:It's fine. Stay like that.
Byron wrapped his arms tighter around me, and our gazes met up close.

(Ah, it always makes me so happy to be with you like this.)

Joy filled me up inside as he carried me the short distance to the bed.
He sat me down gently on the edge of the bed, and I looked up at him.
Byron's lips curved upwards in a smile as our eyes met.
I was still holding the plushie in my hand, and he reached out to touch it.
Byron:When I'm with you, even the smallest things make me happy.
His voice was husky and gentle, and my heart began to pound even faster.
Jily:I'm happy too. Just thinking about being with you forever...
Byron pushed me gently back down against the bed,
my hair fanning out against the covers behind me.
He smiled slowly as our eyes met, leaning over me.
For a moment we stayed like that, staring at each other up close, both of us smiling.
Then his lips captured mine,
and I sighed softly as his fingers slid under the hem of my dress.

(My feelings just get stronger every time I'm with you.)
(There's so much happiness bubbling up inside me I almost can't stand it.)

Sweet joy and desire flooded through me as Byron's kisses grew deeper and more passionate...
