Prologue：
This is the tale of an epic love story from another world.
And your answers have the power to capture your suitor's heart...
I gazed up at the night sky, thinking that the twinkling stars almost looked like they were whispering to each other.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heartbeat.
（...My heart is still pounding so fast.）
My mind had been a complete blur since I'd just been approached by five suitors, and it was taking me a while to calm down.
Jily "I don't know who to choose..."
I had ten suitors in total, all vying to become my prince consort.
I still hadn't chosen from them, though, and I didn't know what to do.
??? "There you are. I've been looking for you."
I turned when I heard a familiar voice. It was Alyn, who was here to stand guard tonight.
Jily "What are you doing here?"
Alyn "It's a bit difficult to do my job when the person I'm supposed to protect runs away."
Jily "S-Sorry. I didn't mean to run away."
I hastily apologized, but he shook his head with a smile.
Then a serious look came over his face while he looked right into my eyes.
Alyn "Hey.
Alyn "If you're so worried and torn up about it, why don't you just choose me?"
My heart skipped a beat as I blinked at him, completely surprised.
（He wants me to choose him?）
Jily "You want to be the prince consort, Alyn?"
I felt heat collecting in my cheeks. Alyn opened his mouth to answer, but suddenly I heard someone calling for me from inside.
Alyn "Sounds like someone's looking for you."
Jily "Oh, sorry... Um. I'll see you later, then."
It turned out that Giles was the one who was looking for me.
Giles "Who were you with just now?"
Jily "Pardo?"
Giles "The ceremony to name your prince consort is only seven days away and you snuck out of your own ball?
Giles "So I want to know, who was it that you wanted to see so badly?"
Jily "That's not it at all... I just needed some fresh air."
I felt flustered, unsure of how I should answer him.
After he stared at me for a while, all of a sudden his demeanor changed, his voice sounding tender.
Giles "...All right, then.
Giles "I just want you to know that I have no intention of letting anyone else have you."
He stepped closer to me and tipped my chin upwards with an alluring smile. My pulse began to race again.
Suddenly he seemed to notice something and then he called Nico over.
Nico "There, all done."
Giles had noticed my hairpin was coming loose so Nico came over to fix it.
Jily "Thanks, Nico."
Nico "You're welcome! It was nothing."
Nico gave me a mischievous wink.
Nico "Don't you think it would be awfully convenient to have a husband who's a pro at hair and makeup?"
Jily "...What?"
Suddenly he gave me a flirtatious look, making my heart skip a beat.
Nico "Choose me, Princess Jily.
Nico "I'm serious about you."
I was so shy I didn't know what to say. Meanwhile, Nico seemed completely calm and casual.
He gave me one last smile and then walked back towards the ballroom.
Nico "Well, we should get back inside the ballroom. Sorry for keeping you."
Nico escorted me back inside and then went off to talk to Giles.
Robert "Oh, Jily! I thought you were supposed to be at the ball?"
I ran into Robert in the hallway and I explained to him that I just went to go get some fresh air.
Jily "What are you doing?"
Robert "The thought of you dancing with someone else made me so upset I had to go take a walk."
Jily "...What?"
Robert "Nothing. May I walk you back into the ballroom? I'd like to talk to you."
We chatted for a while as we went out to the balcony.
The night breeze caressed our skin, carrying along with it the music coming from the hall.
Robert "...Is the reason why you've been so listless lately because you're torn about your decision regarding the prince consort?"
I was both surprised and flattered he noticed, and nodded.
Robert "I want to support you.
Robert "Remember that I'm always here for you. If you ever want to talk about something, I'll listen."
Jily "Thank you."
His kindness really touched my heart, putting a smile on my face.
Robert "...There, that's better. Now go on."
I stepped back into the ballroom and saw Rayvis approaching me.
Jily "Oh, Rayvis! You came! I'm so happy to see you."
Rayvis "I'd never turn down an invitation from the princess.
Rayvis "Although I have to say I kept wondering why you went to the effort if you keep leaving the ballroom..."
Jily "Ah! I'm so sorry about that."
His blue eyes softened after I apologized.
Rayvis "I wasn't blaming you.
Rayvis "I just meant, I've been waiting for you this whole time because I want to dance with you so much."
He offered his hand with such elegance I could barely take my eyes off of him.
Rayvis "I don't only want to be your partner for this dance...
Rayvis "But for life, too. Choose me, Jily."
After I finished dancing with Rayvis I went to the corner of the room by myself.
And I thought back upon the ten suitors who had approached me tonight.
I still wasn't completely sure what these feelings were inside of me.
（But...there is one thing I know.）
（I can't stop thinking about him.）
My heart throbbed tenderly when I pictured his face.
And I called his name inside of my heart...
