Silver moonlight poured in through the large glass windows.　
An acquaintance had invited me to a ball he was holding, and I had invited Robert to come with me.
We had danced to a couple of upbeat tunes, and now were waltzing to a slow one.
Robert "It's been a while since you've danced in public like this, but you're not nervous at all, are you?"
Jily "No. And it's because you're my partner today."
Robert "I'm honored, Your Highness."
Robert said teasingly, and I responded with a smile while making sure we were still in step to the music.
After the song finished, the aristocrat who had invited us walked to the center of the ballroom.
Host "Hello again, everyone. What do you say to changing it up a little tonight? How about switching partners.
Host "And then you'll dance as if you and your new partner are lovers, as the next song will be a song about love."

（So then I'll be pretending that someone else who isn't Robert is my lover.）

I wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea, but then the host walked up to me and held out a hand.
Host "Will you do me the honor of dancing with me?"

（I remember this guy being oddly persistent last time I met him.）

Jily "The honor would be mine, as long as my partner gives his consent."
I answered after a pause, not wanting to bring anymore attention than what was already on us.
Robert "Don't worry about me, Jily. But..."
Don't make me too jealous, Robert whispered so only I could hear.
I held back a grin, not wanting to be disrespectful to the host.
My thought still on Robert, I took the host's hand without thinking.
The host pulled me closer to his body than needed, and I awkwardly took a half-a-step back.
But even when the song was over, and the next song was about to begin, the host held tightly onto my hand.

（Ugh, well I guess I can just do one more dance with him.）

I sighed inwardly, not noticing Robert come up from behind, so when a hand grabbed my arm, I was surprised.
I turned to see Robert, and Robert gently yanked me away from the host.
Host "What do you think you're doing?"
Robert "You two were dancing so wonderfully like you really were a true couple.
Robert "So now I can't lose during the next dance, as her real lover."
His tone was joking, but it still made me excited to hear the word 'lover' from his lips.

（Ah, maybe he realized I wanted to get away and came here to help.）

Robert lowered his grip on my arm to my hand, so that we were in a dancing position once more.
His smile was warm and kind, and we swayed with the music.

（Even if it was to help me, it's not very Robert-like to interrupt a dance in the middle.）

As glad as I was, I found myself curious as to why Robert acted as he did.
Jily "Robert? Did you come over to help me earlier?"
I asked, a bit hesitantly. Robert showed surprise before smiling wryly at me.
He stopped dancing.
Robert "There's something I've been wanting to tell you, Jily."
Jily "Tell me? About what?"
Robert led me to the balcony. The air was cold for this time of year.
Robert "It's all right to refuse if you don't want to."
Robert looked straight at me, his expression worried, but his eyes stern.
Jily "I know, but I didn't want to insult the host."
I replied, and Robert gave me a faint smile.
Robert "You're too nice, Princess.
Robert "And that's not a bad thing. Even a good thing for a Princess. But...
Robert "Remember that all men are wolves."
I looked up to see Robert's face more clearly, but suddenly, before I knew it, I was in the middle of a kiss.
The kiss was gentle, and yet I felt like I was being devoured body and soul.
Wanting more, I kissed Robert back,
I could feel his lips turn upwards into a smile against my lips as he tangled his fingers into my hair.
Robert "Didn't I warn you not to make me too jealous?
Robert "Or is this what you wanted?"
Of course I hadn't planned on making me jealous, but it was so rare to see Robert act so roughly, it was almost worth it.
I opened my mouth to answer.
Jily "What if I said yes?
Jily "That I wanted to see you jealous."
Robert "Then you've succeeded. Maybe it was immature of me, but when I saw you dancing with himー
Robert "And seeing you laughing like that, pretending to be lovers, it made me burn with jealousy."
Jily "So you really were jealous?"
Robert was always so mature that it was hard to imagine him jealous in any way.
Robert "Of course I was.
Robert "And I still am, to tell you the truth."

I giggled at the thought.
My giggle was muffled when Robert pulled me into an embrace.
Robert "I try to be mature. But when I'm around you, sometimes I lose my cool.
Robert "And yet, there's a part of me that doesn't mind feeling jealous.
Robert "Since even jealousy is a sign of how special you are to me, Jily."
His voice was back to his usual calm tone. I snuggled against him, and he continued to hold me tight...

The sun was warm, and the sky was clear blue. It was a beautiful spring afternoon.
Leo had been busy these past few days, so Giles had been tutoring me instead.
Giles "All right, flip to the next page."
Jily "Got it."
I took notes as Giles explained, but something about today's lecture reminded me of Leo.

（Ah, it's because Leo warned me that the history of this country was going to be confusing.
（I wonder what he's doing right now? I hope he's doing well.）

I heard a half-amused, half-exasperated chuckle from above, and my head snapped up.
Jily "Oops. Sorry, Giles."
Giles "Let's take a break, shall we?"

We were sipping a delicious brand of earl grey tea, when Giles mentioned Leo's name.
Giles "How's Leo as a tutor?"
Jily "He's... Well, he's good at teaching, too.
Jily "But sometimes he teases me during his lectures, and it makes it really hard to concentrate."

I answered truthfully. Giles then suddenly stood up.
Giles "Teases you? Like... This?"
Giles put a hand on my chair, almost trapping me between him and the chair, and then leaned in.
Jily "Giles?!"
I thought he was going to kiss me, and quickly yelled his name. But the moment I did so, he stood up straight again.

（Wait, what is he holding?）

I saw the piece of lint in Giles's hand, along with his smug expression.
I blushed instantly at my mistake.
I looked away, not being able to bear his smirk when...
My eyes met with Leo's crimson ones. He was standing by the door, and he looked angry.
Jily "Leo? Did you finish work already?"
Excited to see him for the first time in a week, I stood up to run over towards him.
But Leo swiftly turned around before sayingー
Leo "I don't have the confidence to stay calm right now. I'm sorry.
Leo "I just dropped by to say hi, so I have to get back to work now."

（Oh, no. Don't tell me he saw Giles and me and made the same mistake I did!）

I wanted to run after him, but my feet were frozen to the ground with fear.

Later that night, I was in bed, but it was hard for me to fall asleep thinking about Leo.

（He probably did see it and thought that we were kissing.

I sighed to myself, not knowing what to think anymore.

Leo "But I didn't think I could sleep without apologizing to you.
Leo "I'm sorry for acting like that this noon."
Leo averted his eyes, as if he were afraid of what my reaction would be.
Jily "You scared me, Leo.
Jily "I have a feeling I know what you thought you saw though.
Jily "So I'm sorry, too."
Leo "You don't have anything to apologize about, Jily."
Leo continued while rubbing his thumb over my hand.
Leo "I heard from Giles that he was just getting a piece of lint off your clothes.
Leo "I trust you two, and I'd usually be able to stay calm and know that it's just a misunderstanding,
Leo "So maybe it's because I'd been busier than usual. At least I hope so..."
Leo flashed a wry smile.
Leo "I'm so lame. I was jealous because of a misunderstanding."
Jily "Just a little."
Leo "You say as you laugh."
Jily "It's true. I'm kind of happy to see you jealous actually. It's cute."
Feeling back to my old self again, I teased Leo.
His expression brightened at that, and he lifted his fingers to my face and let it trail down my cheek.
Leo "Thank you, Jily. Can I ask for one more favor?"
Jily "Anything for you."
Leo "Prove to me that I'm yours, and you're mine so that I won't accidentally get jealous again.
Leo "Help me relax."
Leo tilted his head to the side, and he looked so cute I just had to laugh.
Jily "Sure, I can do that."
I unbuttoned Leo's shirt and sucked hard on the base of his exposed neck, making sure to leave a bright, red mark.
Leo "You're always full of surprises. Maybe it's true that jealousy adds spice, because I'm finding you even more sexy tonight."
Leo grinned with a glint of mischief in his eyes.
Knowing what he was about to say next, I pulled his hand, making us both fall onto the bed, with a grin of my own...

The sky was blue, and the trees were finally green after a long winter.
Louis had been busy at work at his place, but he was finally able to make some time to come to the castle.
Louis "I missed you, Jily."
He smiled happily and took my hand as soon as he saw me.
Jily "I missed you, too. Are you finished with all of your duties about the estate?"
Louis "I just have to go and report it, and then I'll be finished. I'll go do that first, so see in your room?"
I nodded. Louis looked like a lost puppy for a second before he left to go give his report.

（Louis looked a bit tired.
（He must be exhausted after all the work he's been doing this past month.）

I walked down the corridor, trying to think of a way to help him relieve some of his fatigue, when I ran into Sid.
Sid "Why, ain't it the princess. Ya look like the world's ending soon. Is it?"
He was smirking as usual, and I gave him an exasperated stare.
Jily "What if I said it was?"
Sid waved my words off, leaning lazily against the wall.
Sid "It'd be too bad then, since Giles just told me that you got some rare tea leaves as a gift."

（Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Maybe Louis would be able to relax by drinking some of that tea together?
（The aristocrat that gave it to me did say this type of tea had a calming effect.）

Thanking Sid, I quickly headed towards the kitchen.
Jily "...Sid? Why are you following me?"
I had tried to ignore him, but finally got annoyed of him following me around the kitchen.
The tea leaves inside the tea pot were giving off a sweet, calming scent.
Sid "Because it looked entertaining. And I also wanted to try this rare tea."

（Well, I suppose he was the one that helped me remember about the tea.）

Jily "Fine. Here."
I poured him a cup. Sid was looking towards the entrance, but he turned his attention back on the cup before him.
His eyes were sparkling with an emotion I didn't quite like.
Sid "My hands are dirty. I shouldn't be touchin' royal cups, should I? Help me drink it."
Jily "You've GOT to be kidding me."

（He's just teasing me. I know it. And I also know he's not going to give up until I do as he asks.）

I wanted to hurry back to my room to meet Louis, so I grabbed the tea cup and brought it up to Sid's lips.

Louis "What are you doing?"
I whipped around, hearing Louis's voice from the entrance.
Louis's face didn't betray any emotion, but his voice had lacked any warmth.

（I'm going to kill Sid...）

Jily "Umm, well..."
My voice slightly trembled with panic, and Sid did nothing to help as he put an arm around my shoulder.
Sid "We were just about to drink tea together. Isn't that obvious? You're interrupting us.
Sid "Ain't that right, Princess?"
Louis "..."
Sid threw a challenging smirk towards Louis before suddenly looking into my eyes.

（What in the world is Sid thinking?）

I stared right back at Sid, trying hard to understand him, when his eyes flickered to Louis again.
I followed his gaze, and saw Louis's expression go cold.
Louis "I see. If that's what you want, I won't say no."
He looked at me coldly and turned on his heels.
Jily "Wait, Louis! Don't go!"
I pulled free from Sid's grasp and grabbed Louis's arm.
Louis "Jily?"
Jily "I prepared the tea for you! Not Sid!"
I blurted. Louis's eyes slowly widened.
Louis "For me?"
Jily "I wanted to help you relax. Sid was just teasing like he usually does. You know he doesn't have a life."
Louis "Oh, right. ...I'm sorry. I saw you two together and I just couldn't think straight."
Jily "Did you really think I'd fall for Sid?"
I was relieved and shocked at the same time, but Louis made me quickly forget by bringing me into a tight embrace.
Sid "You realize I can still hear ya?"
I ignored the comment and raised my head slightly to see that Louis was glaring at Sid.
His hold on me tightened even more, and the hug felt almost possessive.
My heart beat loudly against my chest, excited to see this new side of Louis.
Sid "You seriously must be tired to actually have been jealous of me though.
Sid "But better keep her close. I ain't gonna be so nice next time."
Louis "There'll be no 'next' time."
Sid walked out the kitchen, giving Louis a suggestive smirk before he left.
Once we were alone, Louis let go of me and apologized.
Louis "I'm really sorry. I trust you and I know you wouldn't betray me, but... I don't know what was wrong with me.
Louis "I've never lost control of my emotions before I met you, you know."
Louis smiled sadly, putting a strand of my hair behind my ear.
Jily "I'm actually kind of happy to hear that."
Louis's smile turned into a happy one after hearing my response.
Louis "If you accept my apology, can I have the tea that you've prepared?"
Jily "Of course."
I took the tray of the tea pot and tea cups, and we walked back to my room. I poured our tea, and Louis put out some scones.
Louis "I also wanted to have tea with you today.
Louis "I knew you were working hard and thought you might want something sweet."

（Louis's much busier than I am, and yet he was worried about me?）

I smiled, secretly thanking Sid just a little for making Louis jealous.
Jily "You're always so considerate. And that's one of the reasons I love you so much."
Louis "I could say the same thing back at you."
We both grinned at each other, basking in the sweet scent of tea and the happiness of being with each other...
